Bioplastic Drinking Straw Account Manager

We are looking to grow our customer focused team by adding a passionate Bio-Straw Account Manager. This position is high visibility and mission critical to growing our business and assuring that we deliver high quality products and achieve our long-term goals.

 Job Description

The Straw Account Manager is a headquarter based position. This individual will drive sales growth within a portfolio of assigned accounts. The successful candidate is a passionate ambassador who is a self-starter. The Straw Account Manager will embrace our values, vision, and mission by successfully leveraging subject matter expertise, a passion for learning, and industry experience to ensure customer success and growth.

Primary Job Functions:

  1. Serve as lead point of contact for customer account management matters
  2. Drive accurate forecasts and timely PO’s
  3. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  4. Construct and maintain customized collaborative scorecards for customer account and internal teams, provide feedback and plans to improve processes
  5. Lead customer resolution issues within the assigned accounts
  6. Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas for improvement
  7. Build influence with all account stakeholders
  8. Build relationships with customers based upon trust and respect
  9. Manages accounts receivable with assistance from the credit department
  10. Responsible for the management of Account Planning, Pipeline management, and profitability improvements in CRM tool
  11. Internal sales lead on cross functional teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager or similar role
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and projects at a time
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter who can thrive within a broader framework
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Education: BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering or relevant field
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Proven track record of successful sales growth
  • Experience with negotiations; strong influencing and persuasion skills
